Signaline WD Water Detection Cable is a unique 4 core twisted cable that is tightly bound in a nylon fish net braid, enabling water to easily come in contact with the sensitive elements of the cable. Two of the cores provide low voltage and low current power to the circuit while the other 2 cores are sensitive to the presence of water.

The sensor cable must be plugged into the monitor for detection to be operational. However, site layouts often mean that the control monitor must be placed in a control room or with other detection devices. This means the sensor cable can not be directly plugged into the monitor. Where this situation occurs Signaline can supply a terminated 10m length of non-sensing lead-in cable. This cable is terminated with the same plug and socket mechanism as the connections on the monitor and the sensor cable allow quick and easy installation. The 10m can be plugged together to create longer lengths of non-sensing cable where required. The advantage to this is that the lower cost of the nonsensing cable will reduce systems cost and allow site flexibility.
